Munk Debates contest alert and more news!

Win a pair of tickets to the sold-out Munk Debate on November 26!

Tony Blair

Christopher Hitchens

To celebrate the release of The Munk Debates: Volume One, edited by Rudyard Griffiths with an introduction by Peter Munk, House of Anansi Press and the Munk Debates are thrilled to be giving away a pair of tickets to the sold-out debate next week between former British Prime Minister Tony Blair and writer Christopher Hitchens.

To encourage a far-ranging discussion on one of humankind’s most vexing questions, the sixth semi-annual Munk Debate will tackle the resolution: be it resolved, religion is a force for good in the world. Arguing for the benefits of religion will be Mr. Blair, while Mr. Hitchens will speak against it.

The event will take place on Friday, November 26 at 7:00 p.m. EST, at Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto. The winner will receive the two tickets by courier.

To enter, simply email and tell us who has written the introduction to The Munk Debates: Volume One. All Toronto residents who purchase the book from the Anansi website are automatically entered to win!

Contest open to Canadian residents only, excluding Quebec.
Contest closes Tuesday, November 23, at 12:00 p.m. EST.
