Martha Brooks, author of Queen of Hearts
Gil Adamson’s The Outlander tied me to the page. The 19 year old heroine murders her good-for-nothing husband and then tries to outrun his horrible brothers. She takes us through the back country of early Canada and is met along the way by outcasts and degenerates who robustly offer her a helping hand. I loved it!
